Natural Resources Youth Campers spend one week in the rustic setting of the Lubrecht Experimental Forest (east of Missoula, Montana)
learning about Montana's natural resources. The accommodations are comfortable, the
food is great, and the instruction and friendships are the best!
Campers learn about forestry, water, soils, geology, range, wildlife, and
recreation, and they spend a half-day rafting the Alberton Gorge of the Clark Fork
River. There are evening programs, guest speakers, campfires, and much more!
The camp is open to all youth ages 14-18 and qualified campers are accepted on a first-come basis.
The full fee for camp is $175.00 per camper which includes meals, supplies, and lodging.
Campers are encouraged to contact their local Conservation District for sponsorship which will cover much of
the camp fee. In addition, a limited number of travel assistance grants (up to $100) are available upon request.
